The Regina Auxiliary is a community-based organization that was formed solely to support the mission of Regina Hospital and Regina Senior Living through volunteerism and philanthropy.  Fundraising activities like the garage sale, along with generous donations, allow or organization to fund equipment, programs, and facility projects to enhance health care services.

Members of the Auxiliary donate their time to hold birthday parties for residents, host luncheons, assist with creative activities that are part of recreational therapy programs and serve on committees.

The Auxiliary also operates the Hospital Gift Shop and Senior Living Country Store, where residents, staff, and visitors stop to purchase snacks, cards, gifts, toiletries, decor and other personal items.

All of the projects and donations from the Auxiliary are approved and often requested by hospital and senior living Administration. We’ve furnished common rooms in the Nursing Home, Patient Care areas and the Media rooms. Families of patients and residents also use these comfortable areas.

The Auxiliary has contributed holiday decorations and sponsored special recognition during Healthcare Week.  Colorful and attractive aviaries and saltwater aquariums provide quiet entertainment, and the Auxiliary Garden with a wandering path and seating areas is beautiful for a little fresh air, exercise, contemplation and social gatherings.

The Auxiliary sponsors two scholarships each year to high school students who aspire to a career in a medical field. It is our hope that these young people will be encouraged to complete their studies and return to this community to practice their profession.

City-wide Red Cross Bloodmobiles are sponsored and coordinated by volunteers from the Auxiliary. Through this effort we have been able to provide substantial quantities of blood to local hospitals and emergency facilities. We are grateful to  the individual donors who support us in this effort.

Since 1958, women and men have been serving their neighbors and communities through social and service activities sponsored by the Regina Auxiliary. As a member, your annual commitment is a $5 fee, and recognition for hours of volunteer service. Whatever your interests or talents, we have a job for you!
